Larry and Merna Davis were Maggie's parents. He was a Methodist/United Methodist minister for over 40 years, a chaplain in the Army during World War II, and served in churches and as a district superintendent in the Nebraska Conference. Merna was active in the churches Larry served, with interest in women's ministry and mission.
Larry spoke to the Grand Island Kiwanis in 1987 about his life. Here is his story, which includes extensive writings about his World War II chaplaincy experience.
